General Advice

  • Keep windows open or switch on an exhaust fan to ensure good ventilation.
  • Avoid spills and clean the appliance frequently, as accumulated grease can cause fire.
  • Check if your gas appliance is connected with a rubber hose - if so, check the condition of the hose regularly and have it replaced at least every 3 years.

  • Put flammable items near the gas flame.
  • Put the Table Top Cooker near a window which has curtains that could create a fire if blown over the Table Top Cooker.
Rice Cooking Function
You can use your Towngas Superbowl Table Top Cooker for rice cooking. The built-in rice cooker switches itself off when the rice is cooked.

  • Put the rice container into the cooking compartment before you light the flame, in order to avoid burning the inner surfaces of the container.
  • Use the lid that comes with the rice container.
  • Whenever you insert or remove the rice container, be careful to balance it properly in order to prevent it from overturning.
  • At the end of automatic rice cooking, turn the control knob to the 'Off' position for safety.

  • Block the discharge outlet on top of the appliance.
  • Put in too much water, in order to avoid spillage.
Intelligent Cooking Function
Some Table Top Cookers and built-in hobs are equipped with intelligent flame cooking functions, including automatic rice cooking, deep-frying with three preset temperature controls, and automatic water boiling. Automatic water boiling heats the water to boiling temperature, continues boiling for 5 minutes in order to kill bacteria, and then switches off automatically.

  • Slide the Flame Adjustment Level to the 'Rice Cooking' position and press the Rice Cooking Switch. This will prevent the rice from burning.
  • When you use the frying temperature control, use at least 200 ml of oil. This will keep the oil from catching fire.
  • When the burner shuts off automatically after cooking with an intelligent programme, turn off the operation knob.

  • Hit the sensor of the intelligent burner with any hard object. You can check whether the sensor can move up and down smoothly.
  • Put aluminium foil on the drip pan as this might lead to ignition failure, and could also affect the efficiency of the burner flame.
  • When the spark of a battery ignition Table Top Cooker becomes weak, replace the battery.
